From Baby to Toddler

Even with a new baby on the way it is still hard for me to accept the fact that Brent is growing up. He has been such a wonderful baby. He really has spoiled us. But he really isn't a baby anymore. Brent will be turning 2 in a few months and before we know it, going off to college.

We have about 5 months left to prepare for Baby #2 so we decided to try Brent out in a big boy bed. We bought a twin size bed a couple weeks ago and are working on setting up Brent's new room. However, Brandon and I decided that it might be best to switch Brent over more gradually. The crib that he currently uses transforms into a toddler bed real easily so Brandon made the switch yesterday. I was worried at how Brent might do. I mean, I haven't been up with him in the middle of the night for well over a year now-like I said, we've been spoiled.

Long story short, he did great! Infact, he did better than when he sleeps in his crib. Normally when he wakes up in the morning (around 7) he yells for us to come get him. Well, Brandon and I layed in bed this morning until almost 8 before we ever even heard him. All we heard was a cute attempt to open his door (still hasn't mastered this yet, thank goodness!). About 5 minutes later we hear, "mama....dada?" And now Brandon can go get Brent in the morning! He hasn't been able to do this in a couple months because of his shoulder. So, thankyou Brent for making life easier than I deserve. I love you!

Shake Ya Groove Thang Baby!

Brent and I went to a kiddie concert today with some friends. I had never heard of the performer before (Mr. Al) but let me tell you what, those kids LOVED him. Brent enjoyed singing, dancing, and acting crazy. So ofcourse Mommy enjoyed it too :)

A Yellow Easter

This has definitely been a yellow Easter. And I am not referring to bright yellow flowers blooming, or yellow Easter eggs...I am talking about POLLEN. The reason that I have not been able to BREATHE for the last 4 days! Despite all the coughing, sneezing, and watery eyes, we had a WONDERFUL Easter to remember. We had Easter at my house this year and it was a lot of fun having family over and eating good food!

Brent loved riding on the bike!

A new Easter treat I experimented with this year.

Brent woke up sick Easter morning from all the pollen but after some medicine and a good hour of cuddle time he was ready to tear into his Easter gifts!
